On Becoming
July 20 | 9am PST
Dear One,
We all meditate for different reasons- calm, clarity, resilience, self-understanding...As practice deepens, something subtle starts to shift. Eventually, we start to see, we aren’t our thoughts, our emotions and a new awareness starts to blossom.
This process of awakening to our Self beyond conditioning and constructs can be both profound and profoundly disorienting, without reference or guidance.
In fact, my first clients were seasoned meditators who had glimpsed their True Nature. Some were at ease in the process that followed, but others were struggling to digest and integrate their new found awareness into “everyday life.”
Tomorrow in Embodiment Lab, we’ll explore what the path beyond first taste can be, and how we might engage it wisely and beautifully.
Join us, whether you’ve just begun meditating, or are a seasoned practitioner who’s tasted the fruits of practice.
Because, as a beautiful Zen precept and my friend Greg reminds me often, it’s hard to maintain the initial humility on the path- and it’s a crucial ingredient to going further-
“Remember, whether you are a beginner or a Buddha, there is always something Greater.”
Tomorrow I’ll also share about the upcoming weekend intensive (July 26+27) where I teach BASICS- a part of how I helped folks anchor and stabilize awakening awareness.
Two ways to measure if you’re interested in the intensive:
1. Listen to this podcast with me talking about BASICS and why they matter.
2. Watch 5 Ways to Lead with Your Nervous System to experience a taste of the practice. Passcode is 9876543A!
BASICS is the most relevant and foundational skillset to whatever you want to accomplish- in parenting, in business, in creating…think of it as the mechanics of embodying presence- not as an idea, but a visceral experience.
And, it’s a good time to practice presence.
We’re all going to need it.
with hope,
Ishita
